You may find this hard to believe, but even here in the desert I look forward to the hot summer months. We don’t experience “winter” in the Phoenix area the way much of the rest of the US does, but I’ll confess that I still hate it when it’s cooler and overcast. The desert comes alive with fun activites for the kids only when temps hit 90 (think waterslides, wavepools, etc) and we spend a good part of every day outside, even when temps hit 115.
