What is “Book of Shadows”? Some would guess it’s a tome of black magic. Others might guess it’s something Harry Potter and his posse study from at Hogwarts.
Neither guess is correct. As part of their holiday 2008 collection, Urban Decay has introduced this palette– packed with 16 of their famously high-pigment shadows, including 9 best selling shades like Last Call, Grifter, Baked, Smog, Roach, Midnight Cowboy, Goddess, Shattered and Perversion. This shadow book also includes 7 new shades that are exclusive to this palette: Mayhem (deep purple), Sidecar (bronze sparkle), Gridlock (medium brown), Scandal (peachy-pink), Absinthe (electric green), Protest (dark green) and Shakedown (Shimmering Taupe). Matte to shimmering, pale to dark, this shadow palette has every color option covered.
In an ironic twist, the overall appearance of Urban Decay’s Book of Shadows is cheerful. The lavender case has a flip-up lid that reveals a mirror for on-the-go application, and pop-ups of Urban Decay graphics. Sure… there are a few obligatory skulls, but the butterflies, diamonds and flowers always bring a smile to my face.
Two cruelty-free brushes and a travel size Eyeshadow Primer Potion make the set complete!
