Today I played outside with my little boy, and in less than an hour, my nose was completely numb. I miss Summer already! If there’s one thing that keeps my Winter-time blues at bay, it’s the fabulous holiday beauty collections. Urban Decay’s Holiday 2011 lineup is incredible, and here are the details! Hope this eye candy warms your heart as it did mine!
Urban Decay Holiday 2011 Collection
Everyone’s favorite Urban Decay shadow palette is back! Book of Shadows Vol. IV is the gem of Urban Decays holiday 2011 lineup, with 16 shadows (10 original), a full-sized Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Perversion, a travel-sized Supercurl Curling Mascara, travel-sized Eyeshadow Primer Potion and a mirror. Retail price is $64.
At a budget-friendly $28, Urban Decay’s Holiday Nail Kit is good for gifting or for keeping. The shades included are the hottest shades of the season, and party-worthy to boot! Shades include: Barlust – whiskey brown w/brown shimmer, Mars – emerald green w/ green and silver micro-glitter, Wrecked – deep red wine, Ziggy – gold and multi-colored glitter, Gunmetal – shimmery dark grey and Hot Mess – bright fuchsia w/ fuchsia micro-glitter. Urban Decay nail lacquer is DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde-free!
This gleaming silvery tin contains the Mariposa Palette, a collection of 10 eyeshadow shades and an applicator brush. Shades included are: Gunmetal – gunmetal grey w/silver glitter, Haight – shimmering mermaid blue, Infamous – shifty mauve, Limelight – bronze w/gold glitter, Money – silvery pale green, Mushroom – shimmering fawn, Rockstar – deep eggplant w/metallic base, Skimp – pale nude w/ gold shimmer,
Spotlight – medium taupe w/gold sparkle and Wreckage – shimmery dark taupe.
I’ve always been a fan of Urban Decay’s Primer Potion. Their Holiday 2011 makeup collection includes Eyeshadow Primer Potion in a mega-size! The squeeze bottle (no wand here) contains 44% more product, for only $11 more than their regular sized bottle. Retail price is $30.
The second I saw this image of the Midnight Emergency Kit, I thought of New Year’s Eve! This adorable teeny little zip-up palette contains Midnight Cowboy (the cult-favorite metallic) and all of it’s spin-off sisters! Shadow shades included are: Midnight Cowboy – champagne w/ silver glitter (our best-seller), Midnight Rodeo – brown pearl w/ silver glitter, Midnight 15 – pearly oyster w/ silver glitter and AC/DC – smoky grey/purple w/ shimmer. Also included is an applicator brush and a Midnight Cowboy Lip Junkie. Retail price is $39.
This collection of eye shadow pencils retails for $34, and is a great way to introduce a friend to Urban Decay’s 24/7 Shadow Pencil collection. Three shimmering neutrals are punctuated with a bright teal and a dark purple. These shades would work to create looks for day and night!
Urban Decay’s 24/7 Eye Pencils are a MUST-HAVE. Holiday 2011 offers two distinct collection of these smudgy, richly-colored pencils. The “Naked” collection contains staples like Zero (black) and Bourbon (a shimmery brown). The “Electric” collection contains the brights that are this season’s hottest trend. Retail price is $32 per set.
Urban Decay Sparkling Lickable Body Powder retails for $20. Available in Marshmallow (my personal favorite from the original collection) and Honey. Retail price is $20.
I have yet to sample Urban Decay’s new Stardust Sparkling Lipgloss, but the colors are out of this world! The formula boasts a prismatic effect, allowing the gloss to play tricks with the light much like a well-cut diamond would. Available in the following shades: Andromeda – sheer peachy pink w/multi-dimensional sparkle, Glitter Rock – sheer fuchsia w/multi-dimensional sparkle and Space Cowboy – sheer nude w/multi-dimensional sparkle. Retail price is $19 per gloss.
