The Voloom 2.0 Hair Volumizing Iron has been–by far– the most fun hair tool I’ve had the chance to play with in quite a while! At first glance, this iron appears to be an 80s style crimping iron that would leave a checker-board pattern in its wake. That’s not what Voloom is all about! Voloom is a hair volumizing iron, used to add a bit of distress and texture to the underlayers of any hair style. The result is tons of extra volume!
I tend to style my hair straight and sleek, and sometimes the end result is flat and lifeless. Voloom is the antidote to the poison of flat hair!
How to use: section off the top layers of your hair style and pin them up. Those sections of hair will remain untouched. Then section off small areas of the remaining hair. Start off on a low temperature and increase it until you know your hair’s personal minimum requirement to hold texture. Press Voloom quickly on the root area of your hair to add lift near the scalp. Very important point: only hold the iron briefly for a second or two, then release. Work your way from the bottom sections of your hair up to the top sections, and then let the untouched layer cover it all.
I’ve mentioned in many recent posts that my skin has become increasingly sensitive as I age. One of the things I love most about using Voloom is no styling product is needed for long-lasting volume! The end result doesn’t require hair spray and lasts much longer than any teasing brush ever could!
